Brian Hoover is president and owner of Aquatic Contractors I have lived in Thousand Oaks my entire life. I attended school locally from Acacia elementary, Thousand Oaks High School, through California Lutheran University. I graduated from college in 2003, majoring in business management. While attending the university I complemented my education with classes in Marine Biology. Aquariums and it inhabitants have played a role in my life since age ten. I have taken care of hundreds of varieties of fish and corals and continue to expand my knowledge in a daily basis. By the age of 15 I was catching crayfish and selling them to the local fish store to support my habit of the aquarium world. At age 16 I was helping set up the TAT tropical fish store and continued to work there through college. While working there the managers and owners taught me everything they new over the combined 50 year knowledge. TATS is the oldest most successful fish store in Ventura County and built a superstore in 2003. We shared ideas to build this showroom that would draw people from miles around. As I worked there I built up quit a large cliental. Taking the knowledge I learned and the partnership I developed I founded Aquatic Contractors and work exclusively out of TAT tropical Illusion. They have the healthiest fish and largest selection of supplies for miles around. Being a local resident is a key component of why my business is centered here. The advantage is, by having localized service in Thousand Oaks, and the surrounding area, a representative from my company will always be close to address problems as soon as possible. As my business began to grow I hired my first manager, Kevin Shiontani
